Hello fellow stalkers,
My name is Franko, and I've been holding my FAC license for over 9 years now. While I may be relatively inexperienced as a stalker, I've always seen deer stalking as a social activity, enjoying the camaraderie of being out in the field. I recently completed my DSC1, which was a great learning experience, but I understand that hands-on experience is essential. To gain more confidence and skills, I've teamed up with a good friend to assist him on his forestry blocks over here in Ayrshire, but due to work commitments its difficult to match up at times. Therefore, always looking for opportunities to learn fieldcraft. I am not one of these mad on shooting every time I go out, as understand that is just not achievable but love to be out and about and understanding the behaviors of the deer, as that's the best way to stalk a think.
I primarily use a .222 rifle and also have experience with shotguns. My passion lies in roe stalking, and I also have a keen interest in foxing. Joining this forum is a new step for me as I hope to engage in conversations with like-minded individuals and learn from the more experienced members. I'm eager to get tips, and stories, so feel free to reach out!
Cheers,
Franko
