New moderator

Looking to buy a new moderator for my. 243 I am torn between ase sl5i or the wildcat evolution what is the better or are they the same

I rate the Wildcat Evo because it’s easily stripped for cleaning and maintenance and they will supply the full range of parts by post so it can easily be used on multiple calibre rifles with different threads.

Sound attenuation is excellent as well.

Evo with a 22 (purple) diffuser is what a use on my .243 great moderators that are very well made, great company to deal with aswell.

I’ve got the Wildcat and really rate it. Does a good job with noise suppression on my .223, feels quality and very easy to strip and clean. I’ve just got a variation for a .243 and it’ll go on that too.

I have both of the mods you mention. For the size, the SL5i is hard to beat. It’s also lighter and adds less length to the rifle compared to the evo. Both mods offer great sound reduction. I’ve had comments on both mods from guides and friends as to how effective they are.

If it’s a stalking rifle, personally I’d go for the SL5i for the reasons above. Plus I prefer an all stainless mod.

Ultimately, you can’t go wrong with either.

I also considered both sl5 and Wildcat ended up with the DPT ultralight!

I previously used a reflex T8 and it rusted out.just has a wildcat evolution and it's brilliant,,easy to,strip,and clean and parts are readily available.cant praise them enough.
