The Drinks Chiller Gambrel solves the problem of larger deer hanging in converted fridges and drinks chillers.

Using your existing rail the carcass is hung from the aitch bone gaining much needed room in the bottom of your fridge or drinks chiller for a drip tray minimizing mess and allowing good airflow. (Height gained underneath for Fallow is around 10-16 inches)

Note: Changes to post I will be sending your hangers via Tracked 48

With your inquiry please include RAIL size (diameter)

Material is 304 grade Stainless Steel.

“Having had recently spoken to Tim about his Deer hangers, I ordered and received 5 of the heavy duty Red Deer versions, I hope to fill them in the not too distant future.”

I saw the advert in the sale section. Seen it a few times and toyed with the idea of having one but managed without, until I got a fat doe the other weekend which I could barely fit in the fridge. I nearly lost a finger to one of the S hooks too. Decision made there and then to get one!

Tim kindly adapted his cleverly designed ‘drinks chiller gambrel’ by welding a stainless ring on top so I can use my electric winch set-up. I’ve always struggled with larger fallow bucks in my chiller but this is a quick and simple way to gain some extra height and not have half the deer lying squashed on the chiller floor. Item arrived the day after ordering. Well made, and will get plenty of use. Highly recommended.

Tim sent me a prototype of the gambrel. I found it really solves the problem of storing a longish carcass in a relatively short drinks chiller, keeping the neck out of the blood and dirty water.
It’s a well used technique to hang a side of beef by the aitch bone. Tim’s gambrel achieves this in a whole deer carcass, supporting the carcass through the anal canal. It is an excellent idea to hang a carcass this way if the chiller bar height is an issue.

Some pictures of my first fallow of the season hanging in the chiller with the old rail arrangement (hence request to Tim to modify a pair of extra ones) and then the revised hanging arrangements ready for the next ones🤞 Redesigned shorter hangers en-route from that nice man Tim :)

Quick thanks to @Tim.243 for the hook. Worked a treat on a 57kg red hind I took earlier in the week. Makes such a big difference to the space in the chiller. Keep up the good work! The 2nd hook is superb for the hoist.

Good stuff put up a picture please. How did you approach the lift as I winch the big stuff but put a hand in the cavity and a lower bear hug with the knees with the lighter ones.

Tim
It wasn’t a huge beast about 36kg 2 fallow does behind on normal

Cranked shaft mod to give clearance on my chiller lifting frame, std left middle/right Red/Fallow.
Lower small hook and cranked shaft keeps fingers safe.
