New scope, Nightforce SHV 3-12x56 or Delta titanium 2.5-15x56???

Hi all

Looking at getting a new scope. Ive narrowed it down to the above two in my price bracket. I see the delta gets great reviews, especially by a few on here (refering to the scope and bino test thread).

The appeal of the nightforce is the brand reputation and seemingly good glass and features at the price point.

The appeal of the Delta is that its illuminated and has a higher mag range. Although its only backed up by a 10 year warranty.

I understand that these are both decidedly low to mid range scopes, however from what ive read they both punch above their price point in terms of performance. Any experience of either scope in the field is welcome, a direct comparison would be even better!

Cheers

I have tried the NF SHV 4-14 model and was a bit underwhelmed as it had a tiny FOV. The only NF I have liked optically is the ATACR, but it is heavy, overpriced and tunnelled below 7 mag. I replaced that with Delta Stryker and that didn’t feel worth £1400 so I sent that back. The cheaper 2.5-15 is very well reviewed though.
I have recently bought a Zeiss Conquest V4 6-24x50, and that seems pretty nice so far. OK, so it can’t match the ATACR or a Z6 optically, but it is good for the money. It has good contrast, wide field of view, useful reticle and is physically compact. The 3-12x56 version might be worth a look for you?
