Delta Titanium or Meopta Optika5 for dedicated 223 coyote/varmints

Hello all!
I live in beautiful British Columbia, Canada and have hunted deer, moose, mountain lions and bears for decades. I am trying to focus on predator control whenever possible.

I have picked up a new win xpr stealth in 223 and need some advice for a scope specifically to help me with coyotes / foxes/mountain lions.

My deer hunting ranges from hunting blinds, to mountains and valleys stalking. I am proficient at the range with my 6.5 creedmoor out to 350 yards, practice regularly. Eyesight is good for my age,but my eye pupil measured 5mm according to the opticians.

I would like opinions on excellent quality glass. My budget for new or used is under $1000 (well lets say $800 usd 😒) My reticle choices are #4 or duplex type.My absolute maximum distance shooting will be 500 yards, with 90% being 100 to 400. I am a holdover shooter so likely won't be dialling often. I will be calling, but dont expect many shots will be very close. We do not have night hunting here...can hunt one hour before sunrise, one hour after sunset.
Magnification range preferred 2.5/3 minimum to 15/16/20 30mm or 1 inch

I have meopta meostar 4-12 on my creedmoor and sightron s111 1.5-6 on my whitetail blind gun and love both.
Choices that come to mind for the 223 (only read about them and / or watched youtube videos) are Delta Titanium 50 or 56mm,
Optika 5 3-15 or 4-20×50

I would really appreciate some user feedback on the Deltas / Optikas and any others you think might fit my needs. I know my reticle choices might narrow it down, but I am so comfortable with my favourite #4, or duplex as last resort, that i dont want anything else.
The Delta Titanium 2.5-15×56 illuminated 4a s reticle is on sale in BC for about $900 (550 gbp approx). The optika 5 4-20x50 zplex non illuminated, is on sale for $800 (about 450 gbp)

Thank you for taking the time to read my lengthy post. I really look forward to, and will be grateful for advice from across the pond.

Delta titanium ive had and is good low light

not had optika5 but had the R1r 3x12x56rd and was fantastic low light

I have one of the very first Deltas that came in to the UK £440!
Superb glass. Huge FOV on low power. Tiny illuminated central dot. Very good in low light conditions. It's v crisp and I would not part with it.

Thank you...very valuable responses. Delta is not very well known in Canada (only two dealers carry them)
I agree with the meostar r1rd comment... I had one years ago, and traded it (what was I thinking) That model is impossible to find here, and quite expensive when they do. My thought is that the optika 5 might be a better choice versus optika 6, for hunting purposes?

The Delta prices here seem quite low for what they offer, probably because it is not a "name" brand. I would like to know if the titanium 50 vs 56 would be enough, assuming the glass in both is the same?

Thank you again! I appreciate the information, and will check back to hopefully see more input.

I just got a delta titanium 2.5-15 x56 and am really impressed with clarity FOV reticle and illumination. I’ve replaced the elevation turret for a ballistic turret and verified it to 400m at the weekend, the turret allows for 6 distances to be set. Turret was an additional £100 from optics planet I think.

Go for 56mm. I think Kenton Industries make custom caps but I am sure there will be numerous suppliers in Canada or USA.

Thanks... I have looked at the richard uttings reviews... he does great reviews.
I am leaning towards the Delta 2.5-15×56 illuminated, with a 4as reticle. After taxes, delivered to my door it is 550gbp, with the non illuminated 4-20 optika5 zplex 475 gbp to my door.
The Zeiss V4 3-12×56 illuminated, is far more money here, at 1021 gbp, so twice the price of the delta.
Our sales taxes are only 5% when I buy from a dealer online, so it isnt a disparity between tax rates.
I am going to check on the illuminated optika 5 price, but really focusing on the Delta. The bushnell 4200 is a great scope but they are few and far between here in good condition and are priced around 350 to 400 gbp here.
I used current exchange rates to make it easier for gbp comparison.

Thanks again for all of the input. After I have looked into the illuminated z plus reticle, I will make my decision.
If anyone can enlighten me on experience with the zplus reticle, it will be very helpful.

This is very much my experience with my 2.5-15x50 Delta Titanium HD with 4as illuminated reticle.

I had a Meopta Optika 5, 4-20x50 on my 6.5 cm for a couple of years for all round deer stalking and now have it on my .243 for mainly summer roebuck. TBH I can't really fault it, pretty compact and relatively light - nice crisp image and no issues with accuracy across the zoom mag range.

I have the Delta Titanium 56 with the simple “pillar and post” & illuminated dot. Love it, great light transmission early and late. However I can’t remember the calculation, but if your pupil had contracted a bit you may not be able to notice the difference from a 50.

+1 for Delta, great light gathering and if you are as you say you are a holdover shooter then simple reticle and excellent illuminated dot are just the job. looking at buying a second one.

I have a Delta 2.5-15x56 A great scope but have 2 issues 1. Side focus turret is very stiff. 2. Eye box at the top end is fussy in my opinion.
But that being said I like it and wont part with it.

I would say the same about my Delta 2.5-15x50. I also have a Riton 5-25x50 and I would say the side focus is similarly stiff. Not a big deal plus the glass on the Delta is great, the 4AS reticle is ideal for stalking, and I really like the illuminated dot.
