I have the delta and it’s a great scope. Mine was c£850 I think but that was a few years ago.I'm looking at glass scopes for around the £1200 mark.
A review suggested the following might be good options.
1. Delta Stryker 4.5-30x56
2. Burris Veracity PH 4-20x50
3. Zeiss Conquest V4 4-16x50 or 6-24x50
4. Steiner Ranger 4 4-16x44
What else would people throw into the mix
I aim to do UK stalking and 200-500yd targets on the range.

Good glass, but in low light you will struggle to dial in 30x mag as it simply won’t let the light in.
Other than that, great scope.
Thanks ChevyFor me the delta Stryker is the way to go, I have the 4.5-30 x 56 FFP with the LRD 1 Reticle, it’s more designed for target but works perfectly fine for stalking. I fact I do more stalking than target these days and I see no issues with it at all and it tracks perfectly. Lucky for you they have dropped in price as well from £1600 to £1300 on opticswarehouse. As for heavy, nope not at all or not for me anyway, just make sure it works for your eyes though as one of my mates hates it and another loves it when shooting my rifle.
Where are you seeing these Essex - I've been looking at Tikkas and seen nothing in that price range.Guarantee there’s a great rifle with S&B 8x56 attached for £500 within an hours drive of everyone on here.
What do you think of the digital aspects?Have the veracity PH... Happy with it.. Used for stalking and some range work... PROS AND CONS like most things...

Won’t find that for £500, as you know, but that wasn’t the point I madeThanks. I'm looking for a Tikka T3X in 308
Works well for me... Generally know we're deer are coming out. Range it and diall into the scope.... If it's a few yards either way it's still point and shoot. Can be a little distracting at last light. Deer being unpredictable as well and a quick turret dial the digital display can be bright and a little white out with glare from it. Minimum setting is 10 seconds for the display to switch off. Not a major issue. Illuminated ret is nice with 4 different brightness settings.... Nice glass.. Pretty sharpWhat do you think of the digital aspects?

No hassle.. Truing the ballistics is handy via the app... Muck around with fps and your sorted as I'm sure you know. If I could afford one for my second rifle I'd buy... Gently my opinion.... They do eat batteries so I always carry some with me..Thanks Geordie
