The Torch Factory are currently offering the above for £130 (usual price £165) for a 12 hour period. Delivery scheduled for end of March, begining of April. Free delivery to UK. I'm still using an original single mode Solaris SRX and just fancy something with dimmer control.

Good offer 👍…I have the v1 and it’s a belter.

What NV have you got?

Vulpine MK3.
If your consistently shooting at above 16x magnification and at very very long distances, then the 50mm / VCSEL 'Sunnranger' type is probably the best in raw performance, if you are OK with the excessive weight. Some of them are getting on for half a Kilo.

They should be able to sell you just the new type switch and pill that is compatible with it. You shouldn't need a whole new IR.

If you want to retain the range and beam tightness, but save a bit of weight. The Dark Engine MAX is the smallest and lightest of the 50mm lensed VCSEL Sunnrangers (320g), and is now available with a rotary variable tail switch, but is a bit more money:

I've never felt the need to use one myself.

If you're usually shooting at 8-12x then the Dark Engine BLADE is awesome. I can still light up a tree line at 1000 yards at 10x magnification with an MTC Mamba RIR 4-16x50 and an NV007V. It's tiny and very lightweight (170g). Note: If ordering for an add on, let us know and we can pre-adjust the beam for the tighter setting. They are usually shipped on a wide beam setting for dedicated scopes at 3.5x mag. It is again, more money...than the 'offer'.

Cheers

I'd stick with your single mode version rather than buy from the Torch Factory again. Read into that what you will.

You can buy the dinner control on its own bud 👍🏻

A new unit at offer price of £130 is a good option, given that I'll get around £85 for my old SRX. The new SRX has a wider and more powerful beam, so I'm happy to change for £40/50. The cost of the bits and pieces required to upgrade the old unit would cost this and more. Buying new seems the sensible option.

Plus youve got warranty too 👍

Did anyone actually receive their new V2? I'm waiting since early part of March and am now feeling rather guilty having given folks here the 'heads up' on the pre order offer for them. Perhaps I should have listened to 20-250 in post #6!

Got a email today saying order has been posted, hopefully this is the same for everyone else.

Did your V2 arrive with you? No sign of mine despite (allegedly) being sent next day delivery on Monday. Royal Mail tracking information states they are expecting expecting it!
