New Stalker - First rifle - Advice

perfect thank you
You need to remove the zero stop from the turret and dial down past it. I’ll see if I can find the video on how to do it. The turret is the same as the new 30 mm Z5 line. Some American videos online talking users through it. It is loosening the grub screws then making sure the black line in the centre does not rotate when you rotate the turret.

Whats a good glass scope in the £500-900 range?
A second hand S+Bender or a new one , Leoplold likewise . For stalking 6x40 up to to say 3-12 . Most stalking of deer is likely done with 6X or 10 x a blooming great big heavy scope is a hinderance . NV scopes are for night shooting and that game is a short game job most of the time and if you will often strugle to find your dead ( or worst an injured one ) without a dog .
My own digital Scope hardly ever gets used . Its not even sat on a rifle 95% of the time

It's funny that, mine usually sits on 12-14 for long range shots + my rifle with digital is the one I take out a good 80 percent of the time

You see i am a stalker and the Stalk is the best bit . Remember that there are folks shooting 1000 yards with open sights . Magnifation is like Dugs " easy to get into but hard to get off it !
I have done long range shooting on vermin and deer and i will still shoot long range when its appropriate , though the stalk is the bit that actually tests me . The scope has become the norm now of course but the further we dive in with our gadgets the less the buzz . I have a digital Night / Day scope / thermal spotter for night shooting and used lights for fox and Rabbits, going rite back to my childhood , really loved every minute then . Today ? I do it mainly to keep the landowners happy and a heathy balance
