New to stalking

Good morning everyone,
I am a target shooter from East FIFE. I currently have a .308 target rifle, but I am applying for a variation. I am thinking of adding another .308 so that I have a rifle more apt to stalking, as my target is heavy.
Looking to get started with stalking, and I am happy with any direction or advice I can get.
