Hey folks, I'm new to the forum as it came up in my search engine on ways to load a deer in a pick up using a winch. I'm British by birth but Canadian by choice and been living in Canada for 34 years now. Our deer are pretty big out western Canada where I live and i am primarily a bowhunter and hunt alone. I do still rifle hunt also, but again typically a solitary activity. When i harvest a deer it's always a struggle to load it in the bed of the pick up truck singlehanded as our mature Mule deer bucks and whitetails can push 250lb. God forbid you shoot and elk or moose as even quartered they're a beast to lift into a pickup bed. I was surprised to see that somebody posted on your forum about the very thing I had in mind to do. I look forward to reading some of the posts and refreshing myself with British deerstalking.
