Anyone know/seen anything of the new Zeiss V3 range. Japanese made it seems - pared back to basics - but seem to offer good mag ranges and price wise (at least in the US) seem pitched pretty favourably

RF one and some of the CF with side parallax look decent - not sure about the fixed parallax at 150 yards though......

Zeiss scopes sat under their 'hunting and nature' section which was recently hived off by Zeiss, and sold to a German Investment firm...........
 
The V4 wasn't great but got why, but why the V3? Must be a real basic spec and build quality so will it be reliable. Better off buying higher spec used.
 
Can’t see it says where they’re made, so I’d be taking a guess at China. They gave this a try some years back with the Terra range and I’m not convinced it was a great success.
 
I wouldn’t have a zeiss scope unless it was an old one, Schmidt Bender is the way to go, good quality German optics are hard to beat.

That I might be, but you won’t beat them!

Buy proper buy once, your only looking because what you bought the first time or second time or third time was obviously in adequate!

I’ve had nothing but Schmidt bender for the last 18 years what does that tell you?

The first was a fixed 8x56 then about three years ago I had to wear glasses permanently so then I bought a variable that will see me out

My favourite scope is my Zeiss Diavari -ZA FFP 1.6x6x42.....made in 1975......

Your correct I don’t like change simply because i don’t need too!

Why would i want to change from one of the top optic companies on the world, that is still made in Europe and not farmed out for cheapness and cost cutting?

What’s the point on spending on 💩 that doesn’t need fixing?

I’m exactly the same in my fishing, I’ve got everything I need to do the job, all I buy now is consumables.

Stalking is exactly the same!
