Hello!
I’m Dave and I live in mid Sussex. I’ve been involved in game shooting for many years but over the last couple of years my interest has veered towards stalking (no Guns, Beaters or Pickers-up to deal with!).
My nephew got me into stalking and for the last couple of years I’ve been fortunate enough to run an outdoor education centre that sits in 300 acres of private forest. There are no public footpaths across it, but there are plenty of Fallow and Muntjac.
I use a Sako 85 Hunter in .243 and have today been granted a .308 on my licence, which the wife is chuffed about
I have a .22 - which I love - for a bit of rabbit bashing, and I have a few shotguns: a couple of O/Us, a semi auto and I’m about to get a side by side. All in 12g. I did have a 20 that I bought a few months ago, but I’ve given that to my daughter as she’ll get more use from it, although she does like her 12g.
They say ‘every day is a school day’, so I am here to learn from the experiences of others. Don’t they also say ‘there’s no such thing as a stupid question’?
