why does it have to be controversial? It's a one shot kill at a reasonable distance, and with a suitable calibre.

Wasn’t a head shot, so everyone can calm down. The pic is of the exit - the entry is in the haunch.
Another one of those inhumane head shots. Beware, you'll have the SD massive up in arms

As a recently converted deer manager ,I would say that shot was marginal .
Inch higher and it would of concussed the hind with brain trauma to follow .
Not in the best practice guidelines .

Well, I see it was controversial.
Whenever I am sure and the animal is serene, I opt for such a shot.
The deer was with my ass towards me. Aim high and if the projectile fell, it hit the neck.
It was a safer shot than it seems.
I am not adept at bad practices, I am sorry if I generated any disgust.

This is another shot at a pig, from a high rack, same caliber.

Not a bit of it, my friend!! We have a lot of members who quite frankly would surprise me if they had actually shot any deer at all, and some of them are very quick to offer 'advice' about the 'correct' way to do things.
We're having a joke at their expense, certainly not at yours!!! Great shooting
I'm sure in Argentina you will have local sayings like other Countries. If people on here are not happy about where you placed your shot, you can borrow a local saying from Chorley in Lancashire, F^&K EM.
