Non Lead for vermin/pest control - questions for the operators

I love the 6.5x55.
Homeloaded using RS60, Fox Classic Hunter in 123 grain. Tried the Peregrine but couldn’t get it group. Neither would Barnes TSX in 120 grain.
Taken fallow out to 200m with no issues. If I do my job properly !
Mostly shooting sika (occasional), muntjac and fallow with 6.5 x 55
Nice
I’ve loads of n160 sitting and a fresh box of 130grn cx to try
Will be for sika and roe
Just need to work up a load now

I tried fox classic 80 bullets in my 243 tikka 1in 8 twist and they shoot to the same point of impact as my Sako 90 and 100 grain factory loads (lead) I just need to try the non toxic on deer now.I would certainly be interested in trying some 75 grain in my 243.

I would be interested but your a fair trek from the Midlands. Unless you are going to sell from other outlets 🤔

Home loading and currently working up loads for .243 with Barnes Varminator bullets, very accurate but have not shot enough foxes yet to form a judgment. These bullets are not expensive from Spud, just over £40 / 100 so they compare favourably with lead on price. I have used 80 grain Barnes TTSX or Fox on deer in .243 for three years now with complete satisfaction.

I don't think that the varminators aren lead free unfortunately. The The varmint grenades are the lead free version and work well though and are reasonably priced.

Those of you who are under contract to control vermin on land with Non-lead policies in place.

If there was a factory solution covering the primary cartridges say .223 and .243 and it was under £40 a box would you use it?

This is not a question about the policy

I would like to know what people are using for this specific task.
Do you reload? Is the use of reloads allowed on your land/contract?

We are hoping to produce a 75gr .243 and potentially a 50/55gr .223 non lead ammunition at a very reasonable rate and I am interested in whether there is a market
I use tTSX in my .223 rem as a norm . Small species deer but also for some rabbit / Fox control . Remember half a tank in the truck will cost you far more than the bullets used ! What about 223 and 243 the latter uses twice the powder etc etc .
I reload all my CF rifles so my shooting is already a lot cheaper anyhow
