Non-typical red deer

Hi all
Managed to pull up this fella in the Brisbane Valley the other day, hanging out with another younger stag (with better genetics) and a couple of hinds. Roar here has just started but very slow due to 28ºC days and 13ºC nights.
Beamy antlers but all over the shop, will make a great talking piece on the wall, someone has to love the weird ones.
First deer for Blaser K95 Luxus 308Win, a treat stalking into 35m and putting a Barnes TTSX 150gr through the shoulders to anchor him where he stood with about 10 minutes left of shooting light.
Nice first deer for the single shot.

Well done lovely rifle, how did you get within 35m ? Don,t you know you need to shoot a minimum of 500 m and need a thermal.

That is the truest thing I have heard for ages. I will have to sell up the little Blaser and get into something a little more tactical ninja sniper I reckon
