We'll see how the new online system works, yesterday I filled the 1-1 variation form online, tried to fill in the disposal of a firearm but that page was down, to be fair to the FEO, he answered my question at 7.20pm, ended up sending an email to inform them of disposal and was informed quite a few people have had issues with the disposal page which is now down and IT looking at it.

Mine took just over 5 months ticket landed on the mat on Thursday. At the Home visit on the FEO notes it had extension till January but was told you will get it well before then.

Problem is, the process should be getting easier, but every few years they think of a new way to complicate things, listing every infraction since birth, medical check every renewal, home visits on every renewal, 5 year tickets instead of 10, 1-1 requiring a variation

Got it back today, they used to do a 1-1 in five days (that was including posting), I will give them credit that they rang me yesterday to say it was ready and gave me the option to collect or have it posted on Monday and wait for it with the Christmas post, at least some people have common sense.

Submitted my renewal for FAC/SGC 3rd October after an 11 week wait with GP practice for medical questionair .

Thursday received an 8 week extension letter until March 8th .Renewal due 11th January.
It will come in the end .
It is what it is

Northumbria have always been good with me, but I have just spoken to a retired army officer who has been waiting 15 months so far for an SGC grant application to be processed - and no sign of any light at the end of the tunnel.

Friend of mine had a similar experience for FAC, took about 18 month, this was just after covid when they had the backlog,
