Not quite a blank

Out the other day to get the new high seats all set up.

They've a nice view and should make a big difference in the amount of deer we can take.

Popped out this morning for a sit in one, and completely misjudged how cold it was going to be. Beads of ice all over the seat and rails. Feet and hands freezing.

Am absolute blank. Nothing but squirrels. After a few hours of sitting and watching them, I'd had enough... I went back for the rimfire.

Well at least today wasn't a complete blank. I ended up spending the entire day faffing about in the woods. Happy place!

Sunset hits, and I'd like to stay the final hour but my wife is now chasing (I've been at work all day, I swear 🫣).

I head back to the truck and see the deer in the next field, just making their way into the woods. DOH! Oh well, next time.

Things will only get better I suffer with my trigger finger tip and the cold.
Going to put thin gloves under shooting gloves next time. :old:

Try a pair of silk liner gloves.....when it's dry. I use these under my motorbike gloves (but don't tell anyone in the club:eek:) and they help with my rubbish circulation. Might also be an idea to take a waterproof cushion into the high seat for a bit of extra comfort!
