A good block for pigeons also foxes pass through and head East following the poults back to the woods later when they start roaming in the day time.
Yesterday evening it was time to give this a look for foxes as in the week they will pull it up which just makes the foot walk a bit longer.
3 cubs playing together is lots of eyes & ears, I said "that will do Tim" with one of them turning back to cover which is never a good thing so took on the one sitting and facing me, off went the other 2, I moved up and waited 15 mins later as I thought 1 came back only leaving the last.
15 more mins and the very muggy evening I headed to the truck for water.
Those 2 had a hedge ticket then 1 more was in the distance, back on foot up and down a ditch to change the angle with a second following the first which was now in a good position.
I should have gone home as then spent the next hour trying to get the 4th one but only achieved to cook with not a breath of wind, last night I went early as there must be a muntjac around somewhere! A pair of Muntjac were grazing in the SFI mix way off (465mts) as I checked it with Google maps this morning!
Only 2 Oaks for cover and 2 muntjac 50 yds apart so I gave up the TJ Hooker zig zag and just chose 1 tree then the second, still a bit far! Bolli##is to it keep walking slowly
This Buck was not happy but didn't want to leave his mate, 165 quick check and back to the truck to fetch him and a quick clean out.
Back to the middle of this block 30 mins later a larger fox cut across and I was at pace to cut him off then he decided to come to me "happy days"
