As long as it’s not fenced in - with roe deer - you shoot 1 and 3 come to it’s funeral!

as stated you could see what’s around and selectively cull a high percentage of the bucks (looking for the older or poorer condition beasts) and half the does and the does will most likely pull in more bucks.

Thanks everyone. It is a dairy farm with not a lot of arable and no commercial woodland. The guesstimate on numbers is from spending many nights out with the thermal dealing with the foxes. Your 30 per cent advice sounds about right, thanks again
 
It would seem that you after a definitive answer that you can follow and everything will be ok.
Unfortunately deer management doesn’t work like that.
IMO you are best starting at 30% of your total population. This figure can change at any point in time and that is often the difficult bit to get your head around. You might need to adjust your figures 1/2 way through the season.
If I were in your shoes I’d cull slightly more does than bucks, but it depends on what your longer term aims are but more importantly what your landowner wants.
