NV add on

Hello,

After some advice!

I'm selling my thermal as I hardly use it, think it's been used 2 or 3 times. Going to replace it with a nv add on, that I can just leave in my bag and just clip on as needed.

What are good options? I've been looking at the HIK cheetah and the Pulsar forward f455s. My day scopes have high mag, 5-25 or 5-30. Objectives are 50 and 56, though I'm sure all options with fit on that.
All NV add on's tend to be a compromise of some sort. Front ones as other have said tend to be a git to return to zero and for me there is always that element of doubt about zero, even if its unfounded. Rear ones even the very short ones tend to mean eye relief compromises. Personally day scope in some decent return to zero mounts and a Hik Alpex or similar for when you want to go out at night. I have even carried the NV scope in a day sack before to save going back to the truck to change over. Just my two pence.

There’s no eye relief dramas with the Vulpine. An eyesore yes but who cares as it’s quality of image is so good. Light starts to go slip it on with an IR and jobs done. No dramas about are the mounts causing the scope to possibly not hold zero.

Just get a vulpine, you wont regret it. It also doesn't affect your eye relief as its very short. 1 thing though, if your using ir night vision, a thermal is extremely handy at locating the fox in the field. It can be quite difficult to find a fox just by looking down the scope.
So maybe hang on to the thermal!
