NV alternative

eric thanks for your comments , i did a search on fleabay and found some on there also a cheaper version but need to do abit of research once again thanks, wayne

Wayne,

I have one of those ND3 laser designators and I would not waste your money, because they do not work in the cold. And I'm not talking minus anything. May be ok over the summer months but I think a lot of money IMHO for just a glorified torch really. I hear they have a new sub zero version but I would like to see it in action first. If you want proper NV you need to get Gen 3 plus and spend some money. I hear good things about the Archer and Pulsar digiscope units but you need to try before you buy I reckon.

Cheers
Paul

Amate of mine who has a gun shop tested some of the new ones by putting them in the chest freezer for 30 mins and said they worked spot on,although they do gobble batteries more, but I suppose if they are running an internal heater that is understandable.
