Omicron

Your view from the coal face is respected.

As is the opinion of the Doctor explaining to Sajid Javid why his natural immunity tops any protection conferred by intermittent injections.

The idea that these mass vaccinations are no longer a good idea are echo'd by Dr Clive Dix, the previous head of the vaccince task-force, in an article in the Guardian.

Obviously another crackpot with no credibility…. 😂

God must mean the end is night of that sht rag the guardian has picked up on it. About bloody time but no doubt some cretins will
come out the woodwork to discredit this guy also from not towing the party line.

This is what you are looking for

The excess mortality is clearly documented earlier in the thread

Covid will f&%k up more people long term than any vaccine risk.

At the moment 90 odd percent of people dying from covid or on ITU because of it are unvaccinated....... the vaccines work to prevent death or hospital admission from omicron which may contribute to the illusion omicron is "mild" I had a dose of it over Christmas and it was pretty awful....

I can first hand vouch for the fact that there is a significant excess mortality from the unintended consequences of lockdowns and disruption the medical care test is ongoing

Mother nature will get us in the end I have no doubt

There's no conspiracy. The sad fact is nobody really knows what to do for the best whilst Mother nature decides whether she's finished bending us over

As with everything there are genetic and environmental factors that determine how likely covid is to screw you up (eg most Japanese have a different lifestyle and genetic make up to the northwest of England....and covid loves to kill poor people who aren't in the greatest of health.

Getting vaccinated is more about social responsibility and selflessness than individual benefit for the majority of young fit and healthy people.

Ken 👍
And utterly pointless if you've already had the original deadly version of covid

The bottom line is yes, we need to wait for the virus and humans to get back into some sort of happy equilibrium, we are just killing time until that happens

Until then trying to stop people from dying and develop serious illness due to covid is a priority, vaccines and keeping away from others is a key part of that especially for the most vulnerable

of course its imperfect and politicians need to posture/justify their existence, and also in reality there is f&"k all else we can do about it (I'm guessing this is where a lot of the frustration is coming from)

The covid and vaccine and civil liberty related lunacy is very entertaining if you can view it in its context (I can't though it just pi$$es me off)

The doc who spoke to Javid not sure what his point was. I'd have had loads to say to the health Secretary mostly in words of four letters.....wouldn't have wasted time spouting about vaccines

Got to say no point getting natural immunity to further infection if the first infection kills or mains you though....having said that I'm glad I've just had covid over Christmas and can relax for a few months knowing I'm unlikely to get reinfected and therefore to infect anyone else but who knows. Won't be off to the footy anytime soon....

I'm baffled how blasé folk are when we are talking about real people dying and becoming unwell

I'm alright Jack, until you're not

At one point hundreds of excess deaths were occurring every day. It is heartbreaking that we have become accustomed to that and treat ongoing deaths with a shrug of the shoulders

Anyways I'm off back to my box to polish my bolt as don't have anything else intelligent to say as such conversations can become circular 😁

Its not that, its just that some people, who knows perhaps the majority now recognise that we are but mere mortals whose time will eventually come

Am I missing something here ?
You are I presume , fulled vaxxed? So on one hand , the vaccine didnt stop you getting covid, but now youve had covid, you are fairly confident you wont get infected again ?

Are you not reinforcing what has been said by Zambezi, Freeforester ect, and despite the medical advice blurb, infection gives far better immunity than vaccines ?

in reality there is f&"k all else we can do about it

That is repudiated by those doctors around the globe that have data on how medical treatments [apart from vaccines] applied at onset of patient symptoms can avoid serious illness, hospitalisations and death.

What is frustrating is the suppression of any and all methods of covid illness mitigation that do not include vaccination.

The sum of wisdom so far would seem to be:

  • vulnerable should shelter and be offered vaccines
  • any individual becoming unwell should isolate and enter early treatment at home [FLCCC or Dr Peter McCullough's protocol] with cyclic review
  • individuals tested to be naturally immune [especially NHS workers] should carry on

Me too. That is the main thrust of Dr Tess Lawrie's open letter to the PM earlier this year.

Right. So what what part of the doctor's conversation with Sajid Javid lead you to write the following?

A conversation that would be better had in the pub with a beer after a good day out in the field as I suspect it would make for an illuminating chat as it''s much more entertaining trolling and debating in person😉

If you're passing I'm happy to oblige with as with 3 doses of vaccine and a "better" natural immunity I'm in the best immunological form of my life from a covid point of view 😁

In the fullness of time it will be both depressing and interesting to dissect the pandemic in all its glorious detail

For now I'm definitely returning to the covid proof box having broken my promise to self that I wouldn't engage in social media debate about it 🧙‍♂😂

Was that before or after you realised that your philosophy didn't match up to your lived experience? 😉
It's fine if you don't choose to discuss it, but can you not see the contradiction in the statement Iof yours I quoted?

So update of omicron and delta in Australia.

So many people are infected, food stackers are being sent back to work even if they are positive because the food distribution is breaking down.
So many people are infected, hospital staff are being sent back to work even if they are positive because the health care is breaking down.
So many people are infected or could be infected the government wants to stop job seeker because people are staying at home with or potential to get covid but are still receiving payments
So many people are infected and teachers refuse to go back to work after the school holidays because they consider it too dangerous.

The government is trying change the narrative that its nothing more than a mild flu and people should take a paracetamol and lie down. Doesn't matter than half to 25% of cases are still Delta whereas last couple of months Delta was the most infectious most lethal form of covid.

Scaremongering floggers to the biggest bedwetters.

Not sure being a Dr is a good move is you want to live in a covid proof box.

As below, deaths are lower than a bad flu year and as for being blasé about illness and death, you have to be or youd stop and take your hat off every second of the day. Society wouldn't function, death is part of life. It more worrying how blasé the majority of the public rolled over and accepted having their liberty removed.

Time to move on, let the terrified ones shelter away as they want to and drop all of the legislation and home testing.
Nothing says living with it more than treating it like the other annual viruses which we dont mass test for.

You would think that NHS staff would have been exposed to so many ailments/infections during their work that they would have some level of immunity that is higher than Joe Public, but about 200 have died with/from/because of Covid.
I have COPD, or something similar, so I have accepted the vaccines.

All that proves is that Omicron is no more to worry about than flu, getting run over by a bus etc. As for the vaccination most people may well have had exposure to covid by now and have developed their own natural immunity regardless of being jabbed or not.

“If you listen to the language of our public health officials, they talk about the vaccinated and the unvaccinated,” Marty Makary, professor of health policy and management at Johns Hopkins University told the British Medical Journal last autumn, in an article reviewing a host of studies that described similar protection from vaccine and infection-led immunity. “If we want to be scientific, we should talk about the immune and the non-immune.”

Precisely!
