One for Pat Mitchell collectors

Nothing to do with me but just come across this in the upcoming Southams sale

@Stuart Mitchell Looking at the design of the handle, it’s very similar to the Malcberry 1897 Series? 🤔

Cheers

I suppose the material choices of brass and antler go a long way to adding to any resemblance, too.
My thoughts? I think it is ugly as all ****ery and hasn't much going for it.
Agree. Not sure what would use it for. Skinning I guess. Getting it in the sheath looks tricky too
The world of custom knives, eh.

Imagine how boring things would get if we all wanted the same thing.

So a two headed rottweiler living next door is good ha ha...bastards gonna take me two shots if it attacks me billy`s.

Stuart you make fine knives and if you can see any functional merits of that knife I`m sure that you will offer them...yes?
Of course if one has no knife at hand for a skinning task that one would be a gem lol.

The auctioneers choose to describe it as a Bolo style, I can easily see it being used in that way.

Blade length looks very short in the pic, but in reality it is 8" / 200 mm, easily good enough for removing fat & gunk from a pelt, also sufficient for prepping kindling in camp as it looks to have reasonable weight.
