Like me you measure stuff all the time and understand deflection "cut" or a spring pass lol but for people who never do this or understand how metal moves then they struggle. I made Paul a de-capping pin from silver steel cherry red dipped in oil then tempered to blue.

Good point, and I think that unless you're annealing, so that the brass is always loaded from the same starting point, it's probably a mute point using a bushing die in the first place ?
