One piece quick release mount advice,

Slightly off topic, but don’t expect the Alpex to be any good for long range gong bashing! For that I’d stick to proper glass & have that in a set of whichever mounts you end up getting.

Hello, While the quick release mounts are ok another way if you have room on the rifle rails is to add mounting block in front of the scope mounts, That way you can swop scopes and replace against block, Optics Warehouse do a Vector Optics 9/11 mm Dovetail one for £5 or same for a Weaver Rail, Swopping scopes is just replacing against the block and should not put the zero out

They are ace I even store my rifles without them on save knocking them about chuck them back on check profile go to work 🤙
thats one thing i was hoping to do too, i have a 9 gun cabinet but with 2 shotguns, my 223 and vortex in sideways, 17 hmr with arken zulus sideways and a sidewinder on the 22 lr its full, was thinking of another cabinet when the 243 arrives for that and the 223, now if i take the scopes off i can get them all in no bother :)👍

It’s the way forward I was very much taking scope off and on all the time it can’t hold zero until I did loads of testing and found the only time I had issue was when I had put it on properly and front was sat on top of the rail lesson learnt 😂😂 just put it on the same every time onto to the rail rush forward backwards then forward again nip front mount then back mount snug up go all done 👍

Right chaps, im getting a bit of brain freeze on how best to do this,

so at the moment i have a 22lr and a 17 hmr that share a arken zulas, when i change this over it retains its zero well,
there used for rabbits in the day and night time,

i also have a 223 with a Vortex PST gen 2 on it, thats used for fox, longer range rabbits and gong bashing,

i pick up my new 234 in a couple of days which as of yet has no scope,

so is what i would like to do is sell the zulas and get a Alpex 4k,
and use that on all 4 rifles from time to time, and also the Vortex on the 2 centre fires when needs be,

a good mate has said the way forward is a quick release one piece mount,

am i pushing my luck doing all this changing about or could it work, its easy enough for me to check zero as i have to local farms i shoot on half a mile away in either direction.
obviously i know i will have to re zero the Vortex every time but im hoping the alpex with its pre set zeros for each rifles will be ok,

so if this is all doable then can anyone recommend a decent set of mounts, they dont have to be the best, just decent, and.

many thanks.

Lee
One scope on 4 different rifles, with no loss of zero and always remembering which zero profile is used on which rifle, and then remembering to actually change to the correct profile before taking a shot - best of luck with getting that to work :)

Why not it simple with the pulsars non lrf I just change the zero distance ( not the actual distance you zero at ) to for example which shows in bottom left corner of display
22
250
243
300
306
308 etc
And the other digital and thermal
I just start small to big
A22 lr
B 22-250
C243
D3006
E300 win

Simples it’s a easy as making sure your on the right profile same as you have a bolt and ammo can be forgotten but you only tend to do it once
