Due to my recent searches, Big brother google decided to show me a labs-for-sale-website.

Its a wierd site, yes the prices are like WOW but something seems fishy.

No geographical location, no internet presence ever, no reviews re the site (positive or negative)

Its so dodgy its funny. Please read all sections including customer reviews, "shipping". (is frozen water the correct way??!!)

seems super dodgy to me but maybe its because of my lack of knowledge.

Would value experienced members' opinions

I guess they are from the USA/Canada. You would still need to check bloodlines/pedigrees the same as any other pup from anywhere else in the world and I bet they are making money on the 'shipping'.

Lots to look into, any reviews or mentions on Facebook for the breeder? Do the pups get health checks abs are copies sent to those buying them
Can you speak to them? Or can they point you to anyone that has one of their pups in the UK already?

Lots of worries when looking at dogs from abroad, I went through the same things with my boy

Shipping is usually handled by a third party

It has a +44 telephone number listed in the contact details, followed by (I suppose) a mobile number. Isn't that the UK code? Yet they talk about shipping to the USA, Canada and the rest of the world! And they say their pups are potty trained! A good trick there! I also note that apart from a couple, they seem to be single dogs and there's no shots of litters at all. If you hover your mouse over some of the pictures, "fishersenglishlabs" comes up. A search on that brings up a site that is equally vague.

Although I can understand breeders want to ensure security in these uncertain times of dog thefts, some idea of where they are in the world wouldn't go amiss. An hour north of London or Scottish central belt, or Ottawa or something. I think I'd need a great deal of convincing before entering into any deal with this lot. No chance to see the dog before buying? Can't see the parents? Foreign vet certificates? Is it just me, or is this possibly just another way to make money from the doggie boom and this way, you don't even need to go around stealing dogs because they are selling non-existent dogs!

There's no such thing as a bargain! But there are lots of real scams. Caveat Emptor mate.

My rule of thumb with dogs is to never hand over money, even a deposit, until I have seen it and both parents in person at the breeder’s facility. That way you can ask any questions in person as well as gauge the breeder’s attitude and body language whilst they’re answering you. I also like to see the breeder asking questions about myself and my lifestyle and work

Quick search on facebook has suggested it is a scam... but then I don’t trust a lot of what I read on Facebook. Make of this what you will

The pups are registered with the AKC......If the price per pup is correct I would guarantee that they are asking big bucks for shipping. I also guarantee that if you ask to see pedigrees there would be some delay in response and some excuse (that said......many UK breeders are just as tardy).

Use the same scrutiny as you would with any other breeder.

Thanks all,
I am glad you all agree.

Another thing that had caught my attention is that they were delivering to australia , a country with the strictest animal entry/animal product entry laws.

Also the reviews say nothing about the pups or company but that the pup was delivered in a mercedes! another said the driver told them the pup was looking forward to seeing them!
