Overnight hanging without a chiller

Thanks everyone for the replies really helpful and lots of cool ideas and different ways of doing it! As a newbie this is all cracking reading!!!
let us know how you get on. Blank days are as common as full fridges so good luck tomorrow.
As you can see there are many nuances to the way things get done. The deer best practice guides are always a good reference. Any departures from those have generally not killed the persons involved yet, but doesn’t mean they have more risks to them than best practice.
good luck!

By the way & as info - just used one of these Caribou Gear game bags for the first time this weekend. EXCELLENT. Massive - so easily big enough for a red stag (I have the Large/Bull Elk one). Nice drawstring at the top, lightweight and easy to clean. Expensive yes (postage was £23) and £57 for the bag but well worth it. Piddling around with muslin & old bedsheets is now a thing of the past. No flies, very breathable. Needed it for a day until I could get it into a chiller properly.

I actually made a circa 4ft dia alkathene pipe ring with 4 wires to a small ring, (to hang it from), with scaffold netting tie wrapped to the pipe, and a bit of garden fleece over the top, and clothes pegs to clip it together, sounds a bit of a faff, but it's not too bad, and it keeps the flies out. Was given the netting and pipe, so cost an hour of my time.

I use the "Allen " game nets and they wash afterwards too
Hanging wise I use the pulley hanger from Amazonk.
Rated to 1000lb but my roof isn't.
