Pard 019 any good

Whit onboard IR and lens fully extended, you will see 100m. I add short picatinny rail under the unit so I can use external IR.
It also helps with longer battery life.

This one Black Sun V20 VCSEL Laser IR illuminator is good compromise between size, price and performance.

This one Compact IR Laser Torch looks even smaller, but I don't know how good it is.

One more advice if I may.
If you know, that you can not afford thermal, than don't even try to look through one, because you will buy it one way or another.
It is so much better in spotting than NV.
I used PARD 019 for two years, but after testing Axion XM30S for two weeks, I newer went back.

Cheers

I'll rock the boat - I thought pard 019 was utter dog shité and that was before I looked through a thermal. I bet I didn't keep mine more than 4 weeks. Just utterly pointless. Unless you get eyes then you're chasing shadows in the dark. Save up, find 0% finance, sell a bolloćk but for spotting it has to be thermal. I'd rather use lamp than pard 019. Tripe.

Hik micro lynx 6mm thermal £369 on garden nature website, don't know if that's affordable for you and if they are any good , sure someone on here can comment on them.

I didn't like my 019. Sold it. In fact it put me off nv.
Optics warehouse have a unit for £80 I am tempted on. The reviews are good.
My only concern is the wide screen and my longsighted eyes!

I have no complaints except an annoying bright blue LED on the control panel (now blanked).
In addition to the essential additional lens, a red filter for night use cuts down eye burn-out and off-eye glare.
Built in illumination adequate, but only just.
