Parker Hale help

I recently came into possession of a 1973 Parker Hale rifle in 270 Winchester. The rifle originally belonged to my dad. I believe ge got it while we were stationed at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho 1975-1977, as I don't recall seeing it with his other rifles while we were in Zaragoza AB Spain 72-75.

Has a Pre-74 Leupold M8 10XAO scope with Weaver rings on it. Bolt is currently disasaembed due to a broken bolt shroud, which a replacement is on order.

Now to the rifle, it is built on a Santa Barbara receiver, and has a commercial FN Herstal made bolt, that much i know, but I have no idea what model it is.

Markings wise It has the cross swords with a YB date code for 1973 and inspector number 5, along with 270" WIN 2.54" 19 TONS PER ?" on the bottom of the barrel.

On the side of the barrel just above the wood line is has PARKER-HALE LTD BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND, both the barrel and receiver have a BNP proof mark, then a CAL 27OW on the barrel top. No import markings that I can see.

Sits in a Monte Carlo stock, the butt pad had been replaced in the mid to late 80s due to dry rot. The pistol grip has the black cap with white line on it, but the fore stock doesn't have a cap on it and doesn't appear to have ever had one. There is checkering above the pistol grip and on the bottom of the fore stock/hand grip area.

Two profile pictures and one of the broken bolt shroud. The C channel the pin and plunger sita in has had one of the legs broken off at some point.

Any help in IDing the model will and is greatly appreciated.

You have an 1100 Deluxe model with the beaver tail type forend. Not an FN bolt unless it’s been changed to a non original.

Bolt shrouds are cheap and easy to change.

Good rifles, had a few of this model myself. For a sleeker look, you can dress the beaver tail down to a round forend, add Blackwood tip possibly schnabel, black grip cap and new recoil pad, re oil finish. Or keep original. The thin forends on the deluxe were notorious for causing barrel ‘slap’ due to lack of floating and lack of consistent front pressure bedding. If it doesn’t group well, bed the recoil lug and first parallel section of barrel and float it

I read that FN supplied the bolts for the PH rifles. Is that erroneous information?

Only just seen the post apologies 😳.
The bolt seems identical to my ph1200 in .243 ,my 1100 in .270 cant tell a difference tbh .
