Parker Hale models

The best resource is often old Parker Hale catalogues. That or post a picture on here and see if any can help? The very least is that from the proof marks you'll be able to get an idea of its date of proof.
 
The 1200 series aren't standard Mauser M98, but Santa Barbara actions which were made in Spain for Parker Hale.:(

That is a Santa Barbara action (Spanish) made for the civil market (no thumb slot in the receiver).Nothing wrong with those actions though they are a very sound rifle and work just as well as the earlier ones built on surplus military receivers....
