Boretech 1.5" Round patches for the 6.5mm.hi what size patches are you using with your 6.5s cheers bs
I cut up an old flannel bedsheet years ago into the appropriate size for various calibres. Not being tight just carefulI use Parker Hale small bore rifle and revolver patches (.22) because I’m tight and I’ve loads of them, but they work for me.
That’s sacrilege l wouldn’t be without my flannel sheets in winter, l suppose now your sheets are made of old hessian feed sacks…..waste not want not.I cut up an old flannel bedsheet years ago into the appropriate size for various calibres. Not being tight just careful![]()
Absolutely nothing wrong with that, done the same myself when my roll of 4x2 had run out as I too am careful.I cut up an old flannel bedsheet years ago into the appropriate size for various calibres. Not being tight just careful![]()
I'm going to hazard a guess that you don't clean your bore very often...People actually buy patches? I generate more cotton rags from worn out work shirts than I can use. I just keep one near my reloading bench and tear off whatever size I need as I go depending on the bore/jag combo I’m patching. The size of the patch is also dependant on the weight of the fabric
Well I’m not sure what the comparison is. I’m probably shooting at least one of my rifles a couple of times a week - so probably using about 10 patches a week on average, cleaned after every outing. At a guess I’d say there are 200+ patches per shirt, and I wear out about 6 a year. Does this count as not “very often”?I'm going to hazard a guess that you don't clean your bore very often...
