Mate had them for the foxs.spent some brilliant days hunting and digging .why has everything good been stopped. Nice looking dog though

Lovely dogs if you get the ones that arent head cases. I have had a couple and they were both lovely dogs , one of them was one of the cleverest little dogs I have seen , very versatile. She would retrieve off water and you could use her above and below ground for hunting.

There was a Patterdale that used to come beating on one of the shoots I keepered, quite entertaining in the beaters waggon with the other doges. He hated every one of them!

They can be very sociable dogs they are also hard as nails. Phenomenal pray drive and very similar too the jagd terrier. Shame we cant use them for what they were bred too do.little black warriors

Cant see him breeding owt now.lot of the stuff you see now arnt wot the breeder says they are.lot of rubbish about.seen some cracking terriers bred from nuttall

Mates bitch had a litter of three pups a few years back, two turned into the most placid family pets, the other one (that he kept) would kill a horse !

Bloody badgers are the foxes greatest ally in my area. Foxes seem to be cohabiting, if on the periphery of setts. Combine that with mild winters and trying to find a fox at home away from badgers is not that easy. Of course when they are having cubs it is easier but I'd rather not, just a personal thing but I did it once, many moons ago, and didn't enjoy it.
