Fellow stalkers
Getting this up early as I'm about to remove my old Pepsi Chiller now from the garage and replace it with another so, from this afternoon it will be outside under a tarpaulin and needs to be collected asap.
Its a standard Pepsi Drinks Chiller with a floor size of approx 900x485mm, more than capable of hanging 4 roe, 2 large fallow (Tim243's hangers), or a combination therein. It has been very reliable and it hasn't needed any work done to it since I got it several years ago. I replaced the controller with an electronic Inkbird one and I currently cycle it between 2 and 5 degrees. However, it's old, not perfect and issues are:
So, having painted such a picture, I must say that if this other chiller opportunity had not arisen, I'd continue using this one as it works extremely well for me. It's old, not pristine but it does the job so rather than take it to the tip, I'm putting it up here for possible reuse.
These are in use/old pictures - I will post the emptied chiller pictures later when I have done the swap over.

I replaced the controller with an electronic Inkbird one and I currently cycle it between 2 and 5 degrees. However, it's old, not perfect and issues are:
- There's some rusty can staining on the bottom surface (was not an issue as I covered them with drip trays)
- The sealing around the inside bottom needs replacing (was on my "to do list" to tidy it up but I never got around to it)
- It can drip condensate from the top chiller outlet (never been an issue I just position the carcass so its not getting dripped on)
So, having painted such a picture, I must say that if this other chiller opportunity had not arisen, I'd continue using this one as it works extremely well for me. It's old, not pristine but it does the job so rather than take it to the tip, I'm putting it up here for possible reuse.
