In a similar vein to the wallet thread, the latest piece on the table is initial engraved pueblo leather / desert tiger stripe coasters.

The leather is Tabacco colour, cut these today, next step is to bevel all the edges. Sand and burnish the inner cut out edge the get to glueing. After that I can stitch then sand and burnish the outer edges,and finally finish with an acrylic brush-on resin for waterproofing

These are my favourite coasters as I love the look and feel. Some people probably wouldn't use pueblo for this as it's a "premium" leather, but the look, feel and smell is so nice that used don't mind

The next stage is glueing the aluminium disk in place, this give the coaster weight and substance, which enhances the overall feel of the coaster when it's finished

Top piece is now glued, once this dries the next step is to saddle stitch by hand starting with the outer wholes before doing the inner circle
