My Fortis L model knife which was designed with larger species in mind.

The steel is Swedish Elmax powder steel sourced directly from Uddeholm of Sweden. This is a steel of the highest purity and specifications which give it exceptional wear resistance and edge holding.

A quick Google will show the specs of this steel, What are the benefits of ELMAX Steel? just remember with all high grade steels when being sharpened will require diamond systems, though these steels will hold an exceptional edge for a long time if stropped regularly, which is the secret of maintaining edges. I recommend the Worksharp system sold on the forum by Monarch, it really is a great bit of kit.

This is the longest knife in my range measuring 255mm with a blade of 136mm from the handle front. The spine is 3mm and the blade has a full flat grind along with a 18 degree secondary bevel polished to a mirror that is surgically sharp. HRC 60.

Handled in high grade burl Elm stabilised by myself, so is impervious to moisture. The scales are bright red G10 and the handle is finished with two pure bronze pins.

The sheath is by Gaz Kendall and is fully wet formed for security in the field, the blade has a reassuring 'click' as it locks into the sheath.

This knife comes with a free composite strop board.

Price - £410 with secure postage , over 18s only , checks will be made.
