I help on a small shoot for the past 5 years, which is friendly nonprofit making syndicate.

We have a few spaces for full or half guns available.

My self and others along with the part time farmhand / keeper have both been approached by the farm manger, about running asmall shoot again.

We have put down new cover crop with a view tointroducing extra cover crop in two new locations. This should enable usto create an extra drive or rest a drive, as we shoot over approx. 550 acres ofland, wood land with one pond.

We have and you will be able to shoot pheasants (put 500 number down for 2017), wild partridge (also put 50 number partridge),plus a range of wild duck, snipe and woodcock.

We would expect a yield of 20-40 bird days, this will obviously depend on theweather and the shooting accuracy!!
The days are not at all demanding, A days shooting ingood likeminded company, where enjoyment is more important than the days bag.

You can still count on all the normal 'luxuries' the day brings, which includesbacon sandwiches for lunch, and home cakes for afters, along with tea anddrinks.

Totally agree with the above, all to often you hear guns on the phone after the day and the first thing asked or answered is the bag number whereas in my opinion it should be how were the birds did they fly well

Sounds like a great opportunity. Which direction is it from Staunton, north, south east or west. I live in Cradley, Herefordshire so about 30 minutes from Staunton. Several of the dates clash with my own syndicate dates. But I wouldn't mind coming beating / picking up with my two HWVs on my free days.

The calculations are based on running 6 syndicate days and a beaters day.

We would expect a yield of 20-50 bird days, this will obviously depend on the weather and the shooting accuracy!!

You can still count on all the normal 'luxuries' the day brings, which includes bacon sandwiches and home made cakes etc along with tea and drinks.

We have arrange of bird’s pheasant, partridge with wild partridge and various duck, snipe geese and woodcock.

We have put pheasants 500 number, 50 partridge and 20 ducks which arrived in August.

Normal day is meet for coffee and peg draw at 9am, with
Being on the first drive for 9.30am ish, we shoot the lake first as there are wild duck first thing, we would do another drive or two then stop for elevens in the field followed by two or three drives after, finishing around 4pm ish.

It’s a fully team of beaters and a picker up.
(So no beat one shoot one).

We are 10 mins from M50 junction 2. On the
Gloucestershire border.
Between Pendock and Corselawn

Other things
Fibre wads only
BASC insurance or similar

The cost is -
3 different prices depending on what you want to commit to.
£180 per day with at least 50% paid upfront if you want all 6 days.
3 or 4 days is £190 per day again 50% upfront
1 or 2 days for £225 per day 50% upfront
