Picatinny rail - Weatherby Vanguard/Howa 1500 - same action?

I'm looking for a (preferably steel) rail for a short action Weatherby Vanguard 2.

Am I correct in thinking that the action is exactly the same as a Howa 1500, and that a rail for one of these should fit my Weatherby?

I believe that you are correct , same action.
Contessa make a steel rail to fit . I'm afraid I can't help you with availability in Denmark.

Yes, same action (and barrel too - The Howa Machinery Co. in Japan sells barrelled actions to Legacy Sports International in the USA which is the West's Howa distributor, Mossberg, Weatherby, and S&W each company choosing the stock(s) to fit before marketing the rifle under different names).

Recknagel makes a very good rail for these models. However, although this company makes a range of steel rails, not for the Howa etc models.
