Sadly when i mention even putting a roof on this forum im told people cant afford the 20 quid to do it. Ive built three schlaf kanzels and ill be building more next year. If you are going to stay all night, might as well be comfortable.

I don't have enough hunting to warrant one of those but I have thought about a little treehouse in the woods. Maybe something similar could be built in the future

I would cover the shooting rail with foam pipe lagging cable tied on to prevent your rifle making a noise if accidentally brush it and also protect the rifle when rested across it I lost a probably gold medal buck c 30 yards out with the tiniest ting i could barely hear as raised rifle Didn't even stop to look around just legged it. Didn't get big by being curious....

Perhaps a 12v battery and a solar panel charger to keep your mobile battery in peak condition.

We have 10 high seats with roofs now.

Was sitting there today wondering the easiest way to put a roof on. I think this will stay as a semi portable seat and perhaps in a year or two will build a more comfy one with a roof.
