I was not happy with spending 2.5 to 3K for the Habroks, So, cant find any reviews of the range that compare all three versions and are not from a retailer.....Is it worth the extra £500 for the 635? Most of the stalking I do is well under 500m and I dont need ultra detail out to over a kilometre.....but I want decent quality at 100 - 400 metres
Any users here?
 
Excellent bits of kit. Digital is very good - but not quite as good as my Leicas. However, my Leicas are in the cupboard!. PM me for more if you like.
 
Just unboxed mine, having just sold my HE25L Habrok.

Don't think so much about your maximum distance, think about FOV at shorter ranges. I found I was constantly panning my head because of the narrow FOV of the base Habrok. These are much better in that respect.

That said, other Habrok higher up the range will also have a better FOV.

The beauty of the multispectral binoculars is the ability to switch to optical without losing the target. I will never switch back to a monocular now.

Initial impressions are that the Habrok were easier to use out of the box. They certainly felt more intuitive, but not by a huge margin. Little things that are probably fixable via firmware.

The Habrok also seemed easier with glasses. Getting the eye pieces right on the Draco is taking some doing. If I take off my glasses they're spot on.

As I've written elsewhere on here, I've moved away from using my Alpex 4k LRF, which had proved to be devastating on fallow at FL/LL, to using a Thunder 3 TQ50C (with my Z6i ) for those 30-40 minutes at FL/LL where normal glass isn't good enough. The principle reason for doing this is that during daylight stalking I get to use excellent glass with the richness and clarity that it gives. Similarly with binoculars, I was trained to use glass to visually identify quarry, to sex, age and observe behaviour. I have had a 635 for 10 days as an upgrade from Habroks HE25L.
Thermal on the harokd could pi k out heat fine and iD species but background was poor, non existent in poor weather. Draco 635 is a major step up in that respect, wider FOV is another plus.
Optical channel is 4k on both and pretty similar.
Inlike JH1968 I fine the Dracos more intuitive to use, slight more compact and the zoom wheel as opposed to a button in a big plus imho.

Basically these will be excellent with some firmware fixes.

Did you get a firmware update on the App? There was no update available when I unboxed mine 10 days ago.
Did you get the LRF issue sorted you mentioned un another postcode.
