Pocket cartridge holder - 3D printed

Thanks

I’ll PM you with a finalised order so you can confirm total cost please. Won’t be before tomorrow now as I’m off to the woods.
Will you be able to print the whole cartridge name in uppercase?

250 KLENCHBLAIZE

Thanks

K
No problem, pm me to confirm details. I'm flat out until Saturday evening anyway so will be finalising stuff next week.

Nice

If the Maker is offering them in hi-viz orange I’d be up for a couple please in 250 Klenchblaize. Can send an empty case.

Lettering is really difficult to get sharp in FDM. I don't know what CAD package Takbok is using but mine really struggles with the fillets on these - been a real pain. A fun little challenge but I won't be going into production with them.

Gonna B Monday now when I’m at a PC. I have a small mod suggestion but only via PM as we can’t have another SD member pinching my ideas!

K

Your idea of printing something in orange? As I've said, I won't be selling these - they cost me about 20p to produce by the way.

Why are you answering questions posed to the OP?
You have proved that you are a competent hobbyist 3d printer but it looks like you are trying to just derail this thread.
Perhaps start your own thread ‘Look at what I can copy’?
I understand this is a forum & constructive criticism is a part of that but your comments of what it costs you to do are getting a bit tiresome now.

Fair point. I'll keep my own counsel

The OP invited suggestions and design ideas from members, he didn't state they had to be from prospective clients and this isn't a for sale thread.

The fact people have taken the time to make their own means the item has merit as a product to sell. Anyone who has a 3D printer isn't going to pay £30 for a cartridge holder they can make for a few pennies themselves, someone who doesn't have a printer and wants one will still buy one from the OP as the others aren't selling them so the thread isn't derailed nor is the OP going to lose potential sales.

Surely finding out the cost of a printer and the cost to produce each part (well under £1 each) is useful for the OP as if he has as many prospective sales as this thread suggests he can consider the cost of buying his own machine and cutting out a huge cost to the middle man for each item and every design tweak too? Either meaning more profit or a cheaper product for the end user and a much more flexible response to customers wishes.

Can't PM picture so here is the mod I would like to see please:

Basically a pair of 'ears' that would permit stretching a piece of latex over the shells for added security and primer protection:

I forgot to ask which build surface you use. If PEI I suggest you remove that before trying TPU as it'll be a nightmare to get the print off PEI.

Thanks for the heads up, I use a stainless flexi powder coated but I have one with pei on the way so I won’t use that then, just ordered a plate so I can fit DD up

A TPU cap with that profile will be the mutts nuts,
