Pocket cartridge holder - 3D printed

Congrats on the great result with the agreement, and the cartridge holders certainly look good.

Nice work with the antler-handled sticks as well. :tiphat:

I've used muntjac antlers for zip-pulls, key rings, etc but not tried them on sticks. Seeing what you've done I will maybe give that a go.

Thank you :thumb:

This on elder (elderberry). Pegging Muntjac antler leaves you with the challenge of drilling a stick of sufficiently narrow shoulder to afford a good fit. Elder is perfect, good to work with, and as you know is easy to source and to cut, seasons well, lasts well (I have an untreated elder thumbstick which is over 25 years old), the wood is very hard, strong yet light (this stick, 48” overall, weighs just 200 g including ferrule), and pithy and hollow between the evenly spaced nodes, it oils like a dream. A narrow shoulder means without a doubt a very narrow foot if on young wood. Fixing the ferrule slightly less than half-way from the penultimate node to the node at the foot of the uncut shank gives a deal more strength than fixing it right at the end.

Would be very interested to see and hear about yours in due course. Regards, Steve

Should have had the K250’s posted to my home address - not sure when I’m going to now be in Mayfair to collect from office.

That said it’s something to look forward.

Nice little item in the post today thanks 👍🏻

The .223 holder arrived packaged well and in quick time. The bullets slide into the holder with a firm but reassuring push and it’s easy to pull them back out with just enough of the base of the cartridge protruding. The polymer feels stiff and solid and will surely keep the delicate vmax tips safely protected in my pocket.

100% of an upgrade on the little black plastic Norma 5 clips. I would say my mate will be wanting a 22-250 clip when he sees this.

Mint item thanks Rory 👌🏻

Tim,

Do hope these take off for Rory, nice clean and simple piece of kit.

Pretty sure there are a few people in the Sothern Africa part of the world who would love these. Good thing my brother in law or myself do not have the old "gun rooms" anymore of we would be after Rory for a full list of exotics.....

Staring with .416 Rigby - below for interest if Rory is every asked!!

Would be my first.... but as rifle was a Sauer and Sohn double, would only use 4 slots with a space between 2 so a quick double reload could be made of a belt clip, used to load old leather belt with 2 a space then 2 - only ever needed a 3rd once and both my BiL and I still remember the nerves ......:old::coat:

Just tried a couple of K250’s in mine and they are a delightfully snug fit. So glad I applied the force required!

No pictures until painted and with what I’m now calling the the primer damp proofing cover as they certainly do not require secondary securing by way of a strap as the ‘ears’ on mine were intended for.

I may issue a second order but this time with the belt loops as even if not worn at the hip this feature offers a number interesting ‘carry’ options.

Well done and many thanks

K
