Afternoon Everyone

With all the makes HIKMICRO, Pulsar, Pixfra, Thermtec all producing fit in your pocket thermals such as Hiks Microlynx, Pixfra's ARC series, Pulsar Axion XQ/XG 35's, Thermtec Cyclone

I was wanting peoples feedback on these units what are they like to use and whether worth to spend all the extra on pulsar unit or would the microlynx work just as good with the LH25/35 ?

I could get a brand new A425 Pixfra ARC online for £630 budget option and upgrade later on or whether to spend more and opt for HIK Microlynx 3.0 or Pulsar Axion 2.

Just considering my options open to me, all advice and help appreciated thanks

im using a pulsar axion xm30 and have done for years never goes in my pocket though hangs around my neck
battery lasts roughly 4-5 hours depending on how cold it is, so i always carry a spare
never let me down
Very good worth every penny then by sounds of it, that's good always enough for when your out and about.

thats reet good reliability then for sure

Aye its going to be round my neck or odd time in pocket, just don't want one weighty unit like the XQ50 Helion round my neck lol or XQ38 style big heavy thing

Brilliant little spotter for detection, recognition comes with experience , but I have moved on to a s/h XQ35 because I wanted aLRF.This one still fits in a pocket but is a big step up in performance.

Lynx 19 is amazing for the money. Want to say sub £900?

But if you can stretch, the Lynx 35 LRF version is mental for the money! Yes, nearly double at £1700 (from memory), but you get a 640 sensor and an LRF, all in practically the same sized package.

your right about recognition comes with experience ive spotted foxes coming in from 900yds plus and know there a fox by the way there moving even though its a black blob the way they cover ground is a big give away. learning your equipment and using it to your advantage is the name of the game

Same here, I've got an XM30 key that I can find roe at 500m+ with. I'm sure there are better options nowadays but I'm not spending more money if it ain't broke.

I’ll throw in a new option possibly not available in the UK. The conotech Lipot. One of the smallest on the market, 1200m LRF, sub 15mk NETD. Dial zoom. Its most unique feature is its AI focus. Push a button and it focuses for you.

Had a look through my mates lynx 3.0 lrf. The 640 sensor shows the hair on the animals. Amazing images. Cant see why you would need any thing else for most sensible stalking uses. Massive step up from my lynx 25 2.0!

I have been using my XQ 38 for 11 years. Permanently on a neck strap. Its never been in a pocket of any sort. Its either hanging off Its strap or in my hand. Its a vital tool and should be used as such. For your budget you could pick up a SH Helion which will do all you need.
