Pointers. How do they do that?

Maybe finding the f#### after half an hr locked up on a capper in a tree. Muppet won't come off the point till you arrive. When you were heading the opposite direction it hard to smile when you find him. He can't help it that nose gets him in so much trouble.
Or pointing a hare on a grouse drive going the wrong way 😂

I was asked by a local Grouse keeper if l would take my HWV up to the moor to show a young Architect what this breed was capable of.

Cast the young bitch off and within a couple of minutes she went on point, the keeper asked “what the fcuk she doing“ pointing Grouse l said that’s what we’re here for isn’t it, “how do you know there’s Grouse” I’ll send her on and show you, sent her in and a pack of birds took flight that’s great he said l thought you were taking the pi$$, how long have you been training her on Grouse and how old is she, I’ve been on your moor a couple of times (l have his permission) and she’s seven months old, l thought she was about three he said.

Coming down the moor she went on point again “what the fcuk she pointing now” asked the keeper, well with her stance and her head down like that it’s more than likely a hedgehog, well the air immediately turned blue with a very indignant response from the keeper “there’s no fcuking hedgehogs on my fcuking moor” well said I this one must have followed us on, that broke the ice and we all burst out laughing

The keeper on the first estate I had a gun in had a spaniel that would "yip" if it found a pheasant. But apparently many shoots discourage such reaction in the dog?
It’s an elimination fault in field trialling and can be damned annoying as well.
Theres nothing worse than walking along with a dog that’s constantly gobbing off, unless you have terriers or hounds, both terrier and hound men seem to like lots of noise.

It’s just comes natural to them.
Even a Vizsla can give it a go.
