Police Scotland Variations

Given the ongoing CV crisis does anyone know if police Scotland currently processing variations?

No and no new applications.

A pal was speaking to one team today. He was told no variations, no new applications, as folks have said above. They are only doing renewals and, it seams a number of license revocations. They did not elaborate. I would think / worry that domestic violence and depression issues are perhaps beginning to bite now, and possibly some of the poaching incidents that FB is regularly showing could also be part of the reason.

Mmm well I've just put in for a variation spoken with them through emails have submitted paperwork and payment at no time was I told that they aren't processing variations. This was the Inverness force.

I just received my variation in the post yesterday, i was through aberdeenshire and had sent it in and paid 2 weeks before lockdown began. FAO called me 3 weeks ago to discuss and told me i was only being processed because it was all in motion before hand and that they were taking no new variations or applications only dealing with renewals changes of address and anything that was in before lockdown.

They are say no variations and no new application in MOST circumstances, not a point black no.

The reason is a shift in resource due to CV19. Not sure what the circumstances to warrant processing a variation could be but I suspect they may be "professional" applicants for crop/ pest control.

They are not doing grants or variations at the moment.

True, but that the "get out clause" to allow flexibility if required and if time allows

I think it depends on your location. I have been told nothing being done for a while From Glenrothes, slightly frustrating as I’m waiting to collect two rifles and order a third. I know Highlands are getting them through, although one force Geography I think has an impact on what services offices are providing.
