The lions were half starved and didn't leave much meat on Georges body.

The footage right at the end shows the visual perspective the officers in the ground had compared to the camera above them. I don’t disagree with waiting for the bloke with the “big gun” Herzog was already dead and only fools rush in where angels fear to tread.

As you say those lions looked half starved, only one person to blame for what happened.

Great footage though and not something any of them will have ever had to deal with before.
