Update:
Having gone through all the automated reply bollox to arrange a re-delivery, plus someone being in to sign for Monday, the doorbell rang yesterday afternoon (Friday), and lo and behold, my parcel was on the step, having it's picture taken........no signature required...
At least the driver rang the bell before legging it..
