I noticed that, but it was lightly built and quite small which made me think it was a youngster.
Probably just thin from the previous winter and shedding out it's winter coat now that the days are longer.

He be rubbed up by now. Happy in his bed chewing his cud. I stalked right up to him 40 odd yards.
Now that's a pretty interesting bridge. Never seen one like that before. Pretty cool!
