Wonder if anyone has used ppu 55 grain ammunition in their 22/250 and what have been the results in accuracy out to say 250 yards I’m currently using a Remington 700 and are looking for cheap ammunition to put through it other than reloading,I would appreciate your thoughts.

Kind regards Andrew

What i can say is the Brass is way better than many think or say. In recent times of short supply i have used PPU brass and although i might not use it in comp in my experience its way better than Hornady a brand I would chuck as ex-factory loads. Their bullets ? not really made up my mind , though i have been playing with them

I had really good results with PPU 55gr SP, from what I can remember I think they were grouping about 1.5” at 200yds, nice and cheap too.
As above, the brass is good stuff, I’ve used mine to work up a load for both 50gr Vmax and 55gr Blitzkings and they are achieving 0.5 MOA.
If you were to use PPU, keep the brass as you will always be able to flog it on here and make your ammo costs even lower.

Thankyou Gentlemen I’m just looking for a cheap supply of 22/250 ammunition because I don’t homeload and I do a lot of vermin control on crows which I know the calibre is a bit big but I enjoy shooting that particular rifle,I’m going to purchase a box and see how it goes I think.

Kind regards Andrew

I found it abit hit and miss in my 22,250 decent in 222.

All depends on the rifle. Give it a go. If it shoot well enough win win. Situation
