PSE colour change

So, iv just bought a s/h pse e-tac stock in a colour im not overly keen on, will post a picture next week when i get it,
iv been in touch with pse and they say they use duracoat but after searching the internet for hours iv given up on finding any in this country,
kindly pse told me the colours they use and the mixtures, to get it in spay form from the USA its 600 dollars, to get it in liquid form its 500 dollars, most of this is postage and handling fees, so thats out of the question,
searching on here i also see cerakote is a good coating, but looks a bit complicated, pse also said that people had had good results using a 2k paint, knowing not very muck about paint i dont like the sound of that idea, im going to have to go one full colour on it that will need spraying on, then the other colours dabbed on with a sponge, im ok spraying things with a rattle can, and dabbing with a sponge,

so i guess im after advise/suggestions on where and if i can get some duracoat, preferably in a can and also liquid form, preferably in small quantities,
or any other coverings that may work, i just dont want to mess it up, what im after it looking like is the one in the picture, the colours im after ar OD green, coyote tan and woodland brown

thanks.

Have used this stuff in the past, widely available & reasonably priced

A wide range of colours to chose from.

In your situation, I’d give the stock a proper clean to remove dirt & grease/oil then knock it back with a scotch brite pad (& fine grit paper if those little dots are raised?) then use panel wipe before spraying a base coat & you should be good to go with your sponge after that.

Thanks chaps, i will look into those suggestions, iv emailed tech coatings and spartan refinishing as id rather have it done than do it myself, saves me screwing it up.

already asked PSE Edmund, they said they dont do repainting or any gunsmithing work, which is a massive shame as who better to do the job:(

@Tikkat1x these so-called firearms coatings are a rip off IMO.

A professional 2k paint job if you can find a good local paint shop will be every bit as good.

Here my amateur spray job on my carbon stock after about 5 years - holding up way better than a famous firearms coating on my previous stock.

so long as any coating is air dry ,,,,and not oven baked

Edi and team at PSE are very busy fullfilling orders perhaps why they gave that response

I will give it all some thought. I’m sure PSE are busy as suggested. I’m guessing they have many many orders to get out👍 thanks for all the suggestions chaps. As ever there much appreciated😁

Tech Coatings have just done this for me on a McMillan stock that was starting to look tatty.
Do you have a website for them mate. I can’t find anything on them.
How much was that? Iv had 2 quotes so far. Both £350. From slam fire tactical coatings. And Spartan refinishing. Waiting on a couple more👍
