PSNI visitors permit in the rest of the UK.

Does a visitor permit issued by the PSNI cover visits to the big island?
I used to get one every year and PSNI would list every firearm on the EU pass, I’m curious as to whether or not the NI visitor permit, which was typically valid for a year, allowed me to visit the rest of the UK, presuming I was not carrying a pistol or other prohibited firearm?

Nope, in general most of us from the South use it to transit Norn Ireland on the way to Scotland. You need a separate license for the U.K.

Dunwater I would check first with both the PSNI and the mainland force as I don't know if it is still the case but there used to be additional requirements and notifications necessary to transfer firearms to and from Northern Ireland.
Viking Arms got themselves into a whole lot of bother over this some years ago, and the best bit is that they were supplying the firearms to the Northern Irish police.
